This 1920’s beauty is everything that you could ask for with a centrally located apartment to downtown Montgomery. This second floor space showcases the rich history of yesteryear while allowing you to keep an eye on the hustle and bustle of one of Montgomery’s oldest neighborhoods. You’re such a short drive from the Crampton Bowl, the state Capitol, and many of downtown’s museums, eateries, and attractions. The property was recently restored to accommodate popular amenities of today.

Capitol Heights is a charming neighborhood located in the heart of Montgomery, Alabama. With its rich history and central location, Capitol Heights is a perfect destination for those looking to experience the city’s vibrant culture and attractions. The neighborhood is home to a mix of historic homes and modern apartments, many of which have been beautifully restored to their original charm. From the leafy streets to the friendly residents, Capitol Heights offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes visitors feel right at home. With its close proximity to downtown Montgomery, residents and visitors alike can easily access the city’s top attractions, such as the Alabama State Capitol, the Rosa Parks Museum, and the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, to name just a few. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, Capitol Heights is the ideal place to stay and explore all that Montgomery has to offer.
There are entrances both in the back and the front of this listing. The back staircase leads directly into the restored kitchen where we’ve placed stainless appliances, new paint, counters, and backsplash. The front staircase leads up to the front patio where we have seating for four. Just inside is the living room and comfortable seating. This connects with the dining room which is the central point of the listing. All three bedrooms and kitchen connect to it.
Address: 1627 Madison Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36107. Please follow these directions, step-by-step, in order to get into the house and you shouldn’t have a problem.
ARRIVING:
This home is in the Capitol Heights neighborhood. The GPS should bring you straight to the home which you may see labeled 1623. 1627 is the upstairs unit. You can pull into the driveway on the right side of the home, park just to the right of the front porch (note this driveway is shared by the next house), and enter the doorway to the right of the front porch. The home is equipped with an electronic smart lock on the front door. The staircase will lead you up to the patio and into the living room. You can also pull into the driveway on the left side of the home and park in the back. the rear staircase leads up to the kitchen. Please note the height of the last step on the staircase before the top patio. PLEASE LOCK THE DOOR EACH TIME YOU LEAVE AS IT DOES NOT HAVE AN AUTO LOCK FEATURE.
DEPARTURE: Checkout is at 11 am and the procedures will be sent the evening before.
SLEEPING: There are two king beds, two twin mattresses as well as the living room sofa that can sleep a total of 7, if needed. If you need any additional towels or linens, feel free to send me a message and I’ll have more brought by for you.
TV: This property has Smart TV’s with Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix, and others. Simply scroll to the corresponding app, login with your credentials, and experience unlimited streaming movies and TV shows.
HEATERS: This property is equipped with gas heaters in the bedrooms and living room. To turn them on, push and turn the gas control knob on top of unit to PILOT/IGN. Depress the knob again and hold for 5-10 seconds. While pushed in, press the ignitor until lit. Please note that turning off the unit completely will also cut off the pilot and it will need to be relit.
EARLY CHECK IN REQUESTS:
Before you arrive in town, we need to ensure our previous guests have checked out, that the maid service and maintenance has been through the unit, and that linens and towels are fresh and ready for your visit. All this takes time and needs to be done before you check in. Due to this tight timeframe, early check-ins will need to be manually approved and priced at $20/hour.
PLEASE NOTE: CHECK IN TIME IS ANYTIME AFTER 4PM. The code you’ve been provided will only work starting at that time. Please make your travel plans accordingly.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Please note the height on the last step of the rear staircase leading to patio. Fireplaces are not for use. During the winter use, please don’t turn off the gas heaters all the way, but turn them down. Please be mindful when exploring the areas outside. Many repurposed materials were used for the walkways and can sometimes be uneven or slick.
